Lecture on Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Held at FBA
On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, Dr. Amra Selimović Fijuljanin, an Associate at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, gave a lecture titled "Decoding the Future: How Cryptocurrency and Blockchain are Reshaping Our World" as part of the Personal Finance course led by Dr. Azra Ahmić. The event was organized by Dr. Azra Bičo and Dr. Šejma Aydin.
The lecture introduced students to the fundamentals of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, covering topics such as cryptography, digital wallets, and market trends. Dr. Selimović Fijuljanin provided practical examples, including the use of smart contracts for rental agreements, to demonstrate the real-world applications of blockchain.
Students were also tasked with analyzing two blockchain projects, EnergyX (ENX) and CryptoPlay (CPT), by reviewing their whitepapers and considering factors such as risks, market trends, and growth potential. This hands-on approach helped students apply theoretical knowledge to evaluate potential investments.
The discussion highlighted how blockchain technology is being applied in areas like public administration, healthcare, education, and supply chain management. By showing its use across different sectors, the lecture offered insights into how these technologies could influence future industries.
The session concluded with an invitation to further explore blockchain and cryptocurrencies, encouraging students to think critically about the ways these technologies are shaping the future of finance and beyond.
