Bridging the Gap between Academia and Industry: Swedish Entrepreneurial Ideas

The Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) recently had the privilege of hosting a young guest, Ms. Hena Hodžić, from an interesting Swedish company Vinnter. The visit, which took place as part of the Introduction to Management (MAN102) course, provided students with a unique opportunity to gain insights into the work of a successful international company.

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Senad Bušatlić and Adjunct Instructor, Aida Akagić-Hodžić, the guest speaker captivated the audience with an engaging presentation on the company’s vision, mission, and core values. The students were introduced to the company's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

During the session, Ms. Hodžić, shed light on some of Vinnter's most fascinating projects. One such project involved the development of a heating component for clothing, showcasing the company's dedication to creating innovative solutions for everyday needs. Additionally, she highlighted the company’s involvement in manufacturing parts for large ships, demonstrating the company's versatility and ability to cater to diverse industries. The interactive session allowed students to gain valuable insights into the collaborative nature of Ms. Hodžić's work, who emphasized the importance of customer requests in driving the company's projects, showcasing its commitment to meeting the unique needs and demands of its clients.

Ms. Hodžić’s visit to IUS, provided an invaluable learning experience for the students. By sharing their expertise and real-world examples, the guest and professors bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Students were able to grasp the intricacies of management principles and witness their implementation in a global business setting.
